There were no plans for Diesel black gold to show during Milan fashion week men’s this season, instead, the Italian brand did a pretty cool collaboration with Y/Project’s creator Glenn Martens for it’s Red tag label.
OTB founder Renzo Rosso wanted to inject a new life into Diesel, whom thought is essential nowadays to compete with the tough denim competition; so moving forward with Belgian designer Glenn, was a smart move and an out of the box decision for the brand.
The Diesel presentation took place at the industrial show space Fabbrica del vapore, and it almost felt like being somewhere in NYC, with a steel bar work platform and the Parisian metro informations played in the background to change up the models (a nod to Y/project being a Parisian brand, perhaps?)
This collection included six looks, and were seen worn by different models, from different ages and backgrounds to show how pieces can look versatile and different on each different person. The vinyl jackets/pants, and the denim oversized jackets were our favourite pieces.
